For government exams age is calculated as on the last date mentioned in the official notification not the exam date. Most exams specify a cut-off date such as August 1 of the exam year. Your age on that specific date determines your eligibility. OBC candidates get 3 years relaxation and SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation.
